Cabinet approves the CCMC's recommendation with modifications.

A Cabinet meeting convened on Monday evening amended the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center's (CCMC) recommendations.

The conference, which largely focused on the government's plans for combating the country's exacerbating COVID-19 crisis, supported the majority of the CCMC's recommendations.

The Cabinet, on the other hand, voted to allow domestic air services to operate until 6 a.m. on Thursday, despite the CCMC's suggestion that air transportation be suspended effective Wednesday.

According to a minister, the Cabinet meeting today also agreed to allow local administrators to enact prohibitory orders if the number of active cases of coronavirus disease exceeds 200 in hill districts and 500 in terai and Kathmandu Valley, as recommended by the CCMC on Sunday.

Exams at all stages are therefore postponed in accordance with the CCMC's advice.

Meanwhile, the district administration offices (DAOs) of the three districts in the Kathmandu Valley released separate orders on Monday barring all facilities and operations except those considered emergency.
